    Lightbulb "VZW BB 9650 BOLD" (Freezes Up/Re-Store Connection)

    I've been a VZW customer since April of this year & I am currantly working on my 2nd BB 9650 Bold, The 1st one I had to "Re-Store Connection" before making a phone call & 2nd one now has issues of "Freezing Up" when I want to make or receive a phone call, Text message, BBM or E-Mail someone etc. I talked to numerous VZW/BB techs on the situation & I am also receiving my 3rd BB 9650 Bold from VZW on Monday or Tuesday & having BBM I've talked to 4 others who use the BB 9650 Bold as work or personal & are having same problem & I was just wording if any other VZW 9650 Bold user were having same problem.

    I used a Verizon Bold 9650 for about 3 months. I never had freezing problems, but I did have battery drain issues. However, I resolved this by not waiting on a OS update from Verizon and just updating to OS .600, which worked great for my battery. Perhaps you should upgrade to a better OS.

    I've had my Vzw 9650/OS6.0.0.524 for a while now, and like the previous post, I haven't had any issues with it freezing up. But have had some bad battery drain, so I will be updating the OS as previously mentioned.

    Is it possible you have an app which turns your radio (network) off? For instance, I have BatteryBooster by S4BB and there's a setting which can accidentally get turned on which will turn the radio off if the signal falls below a certain level. Just a thought since it seems odd for you to experience this same exact problem across multiple devices.

    I have exactly the same problem, you are not alone. Let me know if you get an solution. Very frustrating. I haven't taken it in yet because it's not always so BAD that I loose my patience, but the last couple days, it just freezes for EVERY little thing. I even loss audio a couple of days ago. I think I might need to go take this puppy in and get a new one. *sigh*.

    I was looking into updating the OS, but was not quite clear on how to do that, even when I looked at the how to. Since the post the phone has been "ok". I recently dropped it in the toilet :crazy: and amazingly it is still working. So as long as it keeps working I'm ok for now. Thanks! I'll be visiting my brother for Thanksgiving, so I'll have him show me how to update the OS, he's good at this kind of thing.
