Thread: Storm 3 to be 4G LTE Ready?

We have already heard that the image above could possibly be the Storm 3. Its interesting to see that it has an optical track pad. Other rumored specs include 3.7 inch capacitive touch screen display,5MP camera, 1 GB ROM, possible QNX based OS...to name a few. But now new rumors are brewing that it will also be LTE ready.

Verizon has recently announced to the public that their 4G LTE service will go online in December. Does that mean we may finally see a new BlackBerry device to go along with it? I sure hope so! Many of us have been really patient, even though it's wearing very thin. Some information suggests that an LTE phone won't be available until the 1st quarter next year! Many have ventured over to Droid, tired of the wait, just to come back disappointed.

What is RIM up to? They have successfully kept a lid on anything they have been working on...so far. Something is bound to leak just as these little tidbits today. So an LTE ready BlackBerry? Are you ready?

What do you expect from RIM for the holiday season?

The Storm 3 better have 4G because that's what the blackberry community has been hearing for over a year. Also that picture above is rumored to be the torch 2. It does look like a possible slider under there and the Storm has never had a trackpad. So I don't think a picture of the Storm 3 has surfaced. RIM has kept this a huge secret. Maybe it's a device better than android.

Secret is a huge operative word here!!

In my opinion, when the S3 is released, it's going to blow every other smartphone out of the water.

the "secret" specs for the S3 says trackpad...but who knows....I want SOMETHING new!

I'm guessing this is not a picture of an S3. Look at the paperwork. I'm guessing it's Indonesian.

ALL R&D is done in Waterloo. With a launch like this, I don't think RIM is going to let it out of they're 4 walls until launch.

As for the trackpad....I don't think so, not on a Storm

I don't believe that is the Storm 3 either. I deffinately looks as if its a horizontal slider. I'm sure if the device pictured was QNX, it probably would not have the trackpad, and follow more of the Playbook design. If I'm not mistaken, when this picture leaked we also seen the red Torch and I think the 9780 off this same guys messy desk. The other two we have seen, but where is this one.

I'd personally like to see a touchscreen device with a forward facing camera and HDMI port. 4GLTE would be nice for the holidays but we know how with the times RIM is.
