Thread: BlackBerry OS questions

I have an assignment in a computer science class and I need some help answering some questions.
1. Does BlackBerry OS offer multiprocessing? If not, why not? If so, how are processes ordered (that is, is there a priority system)?
2. How does BlackBerry OS deal with deadlocks?
3. How much real memory can BlackBerry OS address? Does it have virtual memory management?

let me guess...your taking an OS class. I had those questions a few years ago. You should go by the book.

Oh, now I get your question...I was thinking BlackBerryOS the site, not BlackBerry OS the Operating System. I still can't answer it, but I am no longer confused...

After reading through some of the great posts and advice on the forum, I've seen a lot of suggestions or posts to update the OS on the Storm. I just got mine last week, and honestly have no idea what OS it's using.

Go to your options in the applications menu and then click on about and its the 3rd line down.
