Well it looks like RIM is surprising us more and more with the upcoming OS 6 around the corner, which is set to be released first on the 9800 Slider, one of the few new devices BlackBerry has yet to release and one of the most anticipated of RIM's new devices. What makes this phone even more special is the mystery behind a new .cod (net_rim_theme_precision_2_360x400_b.cod) that was found in the BlackBerry resources files, which presumeably is from the 9800. The file, as you can see in the pic above (provided by BBLeaks), seems to belong to a set of fingerprint analysis icons. The new security feature will definitely attract more business users along with consumers who prefer a phone with top notch security features such as this and with BlackBerry already being a top competitor in the business market, these security measures will make for even more of a business-friendly choice. RIM is set to unveil the 9800 along with OS 6 at an event in NYC tomorrow, so we can only wait and see if this indeed will be released as a new feature to push BlackBerry up even higher above the other competition.
