Thread: New Storm3

Hi there, just heard about the new storm coming out end of yr ....just was at local shop asking bout buying a storm2 and was told there being pulled from shops in oz ... looks like I might wait for the latest storm 3 as I have a n95 anyone else heard good reports about storm 3 ???

I think you'd be waiting a while. There hasn't been much word on the Storm 3, so I would tend to think it's a long ways out still from being launched.

3 storms in 2 years????? Highly unluckly but if true, thats very sad on Rim's part

Wouldn't it be three storms in 3 years? November 2008, October 2009 and late 2010?

I was at Best Buy a couple days ago and they didn't offer the Storm2 anymore, I was told its no longer available.

Yeh i guess you are right. My bad. Still stinks you sign a 2 year contract now a days when your phone gets out dated in 1 year. But makes more sense for phone companies to do 2 years

That Best Buy may be a "B.S Buy":Eyecrazy: because the S2 is holding strong at all "Corporate and B.Js" locations. Even if you check on Verizon's website, you'll be able to order the S2.

Storm 2 will be absolute just like the original Storm. I can't really elaborate on the Storm 3 when the date of release will be. I would take a wild guess and say late 2010 or early 2011.

Hi there dont have best buy in Oz mite go check ebay for one cheaper rather than being locked into a 2yr contract

that's a trick question. its still only 2 full years storms have been available (counting late 2010). but if you're counting the number of years it's been released (2008,2009,2010) that's 3 years.

I still say the storm 3 will be out late 2010. I'm sure it will be out the 4th quarter like it has been rumored. That's when the other storm were released right. This will give the storm 1 kids a chance to upgrade to a storm 3 without paying full price. Iphones are released every year around the same time and it seems RIM does the same with storms. Lets hope its not rushed though. Last year around this time we were seeing storm 2 pics. I haven't seen the 1st storm 3 pic which has me scared. Normally someone would leak a photo or OS or something lol. Can RIM please leak a quick youtube video to prove you haven't let us down yet.

Seems like RIM is going the way of Apple with the Storm. One per year in around the same month.
