A Sneak Peek at BlackBerry OS 6.0
Hats off to LouiV and the BBLeaks crew for what is being circulated as images of Research In Motions BlackBerry OS 6.0. Judging by the date in the picture this has been in development for some time.
With the direction of the Smartphone arena being so fluid it is plain to see that RIM is on track with the use of OpenGL and Widgets. While we all now that with BlackBerry it is business first, the comments from the internetz this morning have not been agreeable to say the least.
So if these pics are as dated as I am seeing it then maybe improvements have developed a more user detailed experience. Judging by the pics, customization looks to be the key.
This looks awesome! BB Definitely needs to do something for young users to not switch to Android or iPhone and this looks promising. I want it now!
I am giving RIM till the end of the year to at least give me web-kit. If they give me OS 6.0 my BB would be even better. It kinda sucks to see others with their droids customizing whatever they want and seeing how fast those devices move and how fluid every works together. I am still giving my BB a chance. Go RIM. Let's make it happen.

I know I don't have a BB yet, but this looks like rubbish. The only screenshot that doesn't look like a cluttered mess is the very first one and we saw that one a while ago. The alarm one doesn't look TOO bad but that other one, the buttons are over the line, 47 F is terribly place, it is a terrible layout overall for that one..
if 6.0 is the reason why 5.0 is not so satisfying then I'll forgive RIM... If NOT....... hmpf...
the SS look awesome... but why touch screen as the main SS..... will bold or other non touch users be satisfied.....??

I have to agree with Jerde... Am I the only one who thinks this looks like crap and isn't impressive in the least? I truly don't think RIM is capable of delivering an impressive new OS. And if these screen shots are real, then it just proves it.
