New Apps and Games

I am just speaking from a personal observation but there seems to be a lot of negative views of RIM and Blackberry especially by their own users! With the release of berry weather and several other very impressive apps recently, I honestly don't understand what so many people have to complain about. All 3 of my roommates have iPhones and I was comparing the 20+ apps I have for my BB (all of which are the best games/productivity software out there). Not only were my apps more impressive in capabilities, they were beginning to be more impressive looking. The iphone is so limited in capabilities because of its lack of multitasking and app coordination. Call me old fashioned but I don't see the purpose in an app to make fart noises and the like. In terms of productivity and intelligence, BlackBerry is completely dominant.

With this being said, I still cannot not anticipate any more the new batch of "Super Apps" that are in the very near future for BlackBerry. I'm sorry if these seems crude but people need to wake up and see the commercialization of some of the iPhone apps that truly serve no primary purpose. Some are "cool" and creative but few are intelligent and as complete as BlackBerry apps tend to be.

I agree with you but can't speak for everyone when I say that I am more mad that in order for people to love their BlackBerry, they have to resort to 3rd party applications (games, apps, etc) for them to like their BlackBerry. Some of these applications that are out should have been released with the BlackBerry stock. Example is SmartSig ,this feature the app provides should have been released with every BlackBerry since they (BB) are known for their e-mail capabilities. There are a lot of other apps that developers have created that should have been implemented into the device out of the box.

I have to agree a bit with Brett here, while i love the option of having somethings 3rd party or not having to have them, smartsig, quicklaunch? on a touch screen device something similar should be built in for shortcuts. how about programs like poynt? with Blackberry Maps already there would it be that hard to come out with POI's and spoken directions?

hey guys noobie here my wife bought me a playbook for xmas,the only place to get any kind of app is appworld and there isnt very many,why is this,all i ca think of is that its to new?

Hey papa44, no worries. You are right. The PlayBook still has potential for a lot of really good apps that unfortunately haven't been made yet. The OS is still new and developers are still deciding whether or not they will invest money/time/resources to make their apps available to us.

Fortunately, it seems like many of these developers are looking at the PlayBooks Tablet OS in a positive light. With many games from EA, GameLoft, and even Angry Birds from Rovio, it seems the gaming the community is on board.

Hopefully this also translates to more productive apps as well and not only games. I recommend you take a look at my list of top apps for the PlayBook as it'll give you some pretty good ones that I personally love.

All the apps and games that I put in that list are in App World for the BlackBerry PlayBook... Some of those are not available on BlackBerry smartphones though

Sit and watch Blackberry's functions and apps grow. They are capable of much more then they used to be. Especially when the OS 7 devices came along. Now all we need is Apps for them

I'm also using blackberry. I'm playing many games and also using different applications. I suggest some games that you must try on your phone like RimMario, Pacman, Taxi, Tiny Ninja etc. Applications like Jingu Smileys is fun for chatting, Color ID and many more.

Nothing can beat brickbreaker. So addictive !!! Besides this I play Caro with by bbm group friends

BrickBreaker is the best one... I like Caro too which I play with my group members
