If it's speed related, and you didn't download any new apps or anything, odds are it is carrier related. If you think it's a local issue (as in your device and not carrier wise) then a basic OS reload or battery pull might help. But like I said, odds are its a Verizon thing if others are reporting back on it as well, so you might just have to sit tight. I don't have Verizon, so I can't really comment on the speeds.. :\

no dude, the speed is lightning fast now. pages that used to take like a minute or so are taking like 10-15 sec tops!
Oh, Lol just proves I don't have Verizon. Well hell, don't mess your BB in any way then! Lol..
Weird, normally people post about slow speeds so naturally I answered with solutions :P

wat OS are u running?
VZW in Las Vegas here. Big improvement in speed for me too, but I thought it was related to upgrading OS to Lyricidal's excellent .419/.497 hybrid....and also noticed a new PRL (51776) after doing a *22899 yesterday. Finally the light at the end of the tunnel for my 9530, ironically a few days after Vzw EOL's it!

Sure that it is carrier related and not hybrid related?

Spoke too soon. VZW took a dump overnight here in Vegas. Around 12-2 am, I was getting strong signals (for me, -90 dBM is strong), but nothing coming through, even though phone said BIS was connected. Couldn't browse, couldn't use Viigo, Facebook, no email, etc. Alas, when I woke up, all seems to be back. Is this sporadic up/down thing typical for the rest of you?
All carriers have signal strength variations for multitudes of reasons. Last nights issues were Browser issues only as your phone service should not have been affected. If the browser goes down and your phone service still works, you still see signal strength, and a "dead" browser.
I've heard that Verizon had a Blackberry nationwide outage today...

Nationwide is what they called it but it was definitely more of a "regional" issue...I for one had no interruption, and a friend of mine in TN had a coupla hours downtime this morning. Spoke with Staff members....and most had no problems at all. Apparently Vegas was one of the areas affected.
Still pretty slow in the Seattle area, my benchmark ( www.icanhascheezburger.com ) loaded reeeeeeaaaaalllllllyyyyyyy slow, whereas normally it takes only a few moments.
