If you are referring to Desktop Manager, it sounds like you either have a corrupt download or are installing under a system that requires administrative privileges.Quote:

So you are installing this on a "temporary" or "back-up" PC? I would boot into safe mode to load only necessary drivers and remove the installations of DM. Then, restart into a normal Windows start-up and install DM with admin privs.Quote:

from safe mode can i just delete everything about BDM and then start all over again?
Safe mode will allow you to boot the machine with minimal drivers loaded. This may help in the removal process. I would try that first, then go through your standard "Add/Remove Programs" options and remove everything DM related.Quote:

It could be a combination of all sorts of things. Software loaded on the laptop vs. desktop, driver conflicts, OS updates/service packs installed or not...numerous things.Quote:
