Thread: Future BB OS changes security settings based on current location?

Again digging the web for latest news I stumbled upon this: RIM got a new patent application published describing how your BlackBerry could change its security settings based on your current GPS location automatically. While still only in a patent, it sounds like an interesting first step to me. But why not extend this to those things I tend to forget by far too often: Just auto-change all my profiles depending on whether I am in my office or in the meeting room? Inside a building, outside, or at home? From ringtone settings to BBM? RIM are you listening? What are your thoughts?

I think it would be GREAT to have a GPS based profiles program built in to the OS. I know there are some apps out there that try and do it but RIM could actually make it work out of the box!!!

Same here, would love it! I always forget to adjust my profile in quite places:-)
