Yes
Yes but I still use my BlackBerry as well
No
No but I am thinking about it

There should be an option for those that tried it and returned it....that would be me. Tried the Droid, with a potential of a "jump" and it failed miserably!
No. I use my BB as a device not a toy. I don't play games on it I use it for what it was designed for, phone and email. Everyone who has jumped most likely shouldn't of had a bb in the first place . This is my third BB.
I made the switch from the Storm to the Droid. Played with the Storm2 at launch in-store, made up my mind right then and there that I was going to wait for the Droid. Played with the Droid, fell in love. Purchased a week after launch. So, after a little over a week I can happily say I have no regrets. The Droid is the device I was hoping for when I bought the Storm, truth be told. Verizon and Moto have a winner.
Never would. If its not BlackBerry its CRAP justsaying!
getting ready to.. havent had a chance to compare the storm2 and the droid side by side yet, but i did play around with a droid for about 5 mins. Seemed to be a little awkward at first, but then again any new device is for the first week or two. Waiting to hear some of the cool features of the droid that make it a winner over the s2. Does the droid already have openGL es support?
Gone Droid here. The comparison isn't even close. The s2 awas garbage and my S1 wasn't much better. I have helped switch 5 already and my GF's phone will be in this week also.
sorry, but this is a ridiculous statement....
when RIM decided it was going to jump into the touchscreen market and try to compete with the Iphone by creating a keyboard-less device, AppWorld, etc., they sent a message that they wanted a device that would do more than just be for phone and email. At the BB developer's conference last week, there were plenty of announcements dealing with OpenGL, etc...heck they had demonstrations of it with games as well....
I believe that RIM will get there eventually, but after using a Storm for 10 months and seeing the "improvements" of the Storm2, they're not there yet....
I'm also going to give the android system a shot. I am not sure if I am going to go Eris or Droid. I have played with both in the store, however the experience can be a little restricted because they are bolted down. The browser experience for both are far better than my BB Storm. For that either one will get a chance.
I have had both the S2 and Droid for the past 3 weeks, I must say I was really unimpressed with differences between the S1 and S2. After a very hard decision I decided to give the Droid a 1 year trial. I think what i will miss the most is the email function of the BB, my only wish list item for the Droid would be a better email push system. It's so antiquated like stepping back 2 years in time, unless your main email is gmail that is..... Browser all i can say is WOW, app availability dock space and widgets are pretty cool. Also not having to be OCD about closing apps is an amazing thing.
I love my S2! my wife is getting the droid...
VZW Storm2 9550 5.0.0.607 A_E_hybrid
Are you kidding....it's a Motorola!!:nutkick:
I had a MotoQ....
Love my BB Storm2:banana:
I wondered why the ball was getting bigger...then it HIT me.Follow me on Twitter @Orio_
i went to the storm 2...i havent activated yet though. i just do not like how the droid looks and for my needs the droid wouldnt work because it doesnt have push email which i need for my business. i dont care about games and widgets....i hate the keyboard on the droid. i've gotten use to clicking down on the screen on my storm and i like the click screen. the droid browser is faster. maybe bb will get a new browser soon but for now i'm sticking with my bb. bbm is also addictive...

Had the droid for like 6 hours. due to issues with the software, i could not get my work email to sync so i went with the storm 2. I love my storm 2 and didn't have the droid long enough to make a judgement.
I've had numerous BlackBerry devices. They are, in a word, "workhorses". However, to make such a broad assumption as you have is both ridiculous and uncalled for.
People have switched to the Android OS for their own reasons. Some simply want something different after living with RIM for a decade or more. Others want the latest and greatest.
RIM introduced a touchscreen device in the first Storm, a device ripe with issues related to both the hardware and software. RIM sees the market and earnings potential involved in touchscreen multimedia devices. But, by your own logic, did they simply introduce a new "toy"? Or is the Storm/Storm 2 another "workhorse". Opinions vary.
Please don't take this as an attack against your opinion. That is the great thing about forums. Opinions can be expressed freely. However, everyone has opinions. My opinion? I felt your comment was slightly inflammatory towards new Android device owners.
rt...
just connected with my Exchange server at my company and email is being "pushed" since....the Droid does push exhange email.....some people have had problems, but mine could not have been easier....syncing with my corporate email, calendar, & contacts good as ever.....
I'm having to get used to the look and feel after having been on 3 previous BB's....I'm using the on-screen landscape keyboard and loving it....no need for the slide out.....
Everyone is going to have their likes and dislikes...the Storm2 is a great device, but after being worried whether the Droid would meet my business needs I am now pleasantly surprised that it does....Good luck!
