Thread: Blocking your number from caller ID??

OK, I swear I saw this in the storms settings somewhere but I cant seem to find it now..

Anyway, what is a quick easy way to blockyour number from caller ID??

Phone/Menu/Options, General, Restrict My Identity. Set it to Always to block on all calls made.

Also:

You can always dial *67 then enter the phone number and that will do it also.

bmtenney, how do you do *67 on a cell phone? I have all my contacts programed in so I would have to manually dial each number correct?

BTW.. Is there any apps out there that could put a shortcut to turn the "restrict my identity" feature on or off.

This would come in handy because at work I use my cell to call customers and they almost always call my cell phone back instead of the business landline.

It looks like from the description of 123spoof that you can change your ID. So maybe you can change the identity to the landline.

Unfortunately that is correct lol what I have done in the past is start call hang up then add in *67 in call log. Time consuming I know...:banghead:

Yah neo, I think that would be the perfect solution. I'm just not sure how well this program works. It seems a bit confusing but I only spent a few minutes with it.

I know I looked at 123spoof but I didn't want to pay for it lol

I tried 123 spoof for changing the caller id and it worked as mentioned before the changing of voice is a paid options

I loved 123 spoof when i had it! One of the funny/gag apps out there!

I think the trial limits you to 1 min conversations??

2 minutes. but ive never come close to that, i odnt use it to have a full blown conversation. i just use it for those people that decide to ignore my phone call. so i call with there number as the caller id, it confuses the shit out of them lol

seriously when your with a friend or family, call them with there number as caller id and put your phone down and wait...i found 7/10 they dont even realize its there number until right before they pick up then there like wtf the other 3/10 are just straight up confused lol
