    Saving APN for good...?

    After installing a new Leak or Hybrid OS, my APN is gone. I know what it is so I input it back to needed spot and hit Save. Done this several times and it never sticks, thus many of my apps which rely on APN do not work.

    How do you get APN to stay?

    Go to Options > Advanced > Applications and check the permissions for the BB core and system apps, make sure they are all set to allow.

    What carrier are you on? What are you entering for your APN information? Try the reset to defaults menu option while your in the TCP/IP section and tell me what this does on your phone.

    DJ, Sun doesnt have a 5.0 capable device(LMAO) but go options>applications and then core apps>BBKEY>edit permissions and set all to allow

    Ok, went through every possible permission and set them all to Allowed, then re-input APN and saved, rebooting phone now, will see what happens.

    Yeah, there are certain apps that require APN access. Vlingo/Vlingo Pro for example which I have found with the new txt/driving law, to be a great app. Requires APN as do a few others....

    Set APN, did not save, went right to reboot. Upon boot, checked APN, info was still there, tried apps... nadda on the apps, rechecked APN>still there, saved and APN disappeared...


    Now trying Input APN, not save, directly to powerdown and battery pull...
