Thread: GMAP problms on storm 5.0.0.230

i use GMAP a lot with poynt and ive got the 3.02 version and the app only stays in portrait mode. wats more interesting is that the app acts as if my storm were a curve or bold. the touch screen is essentially a trackpad.
ive checked the modules and from wat ive read, the touch version should be googlemaps_47 and thts wat i got on my phone. ive done more than 3 battery pulls for some other uses, but it hasnt improved anything.
ive tried downloading from different sites and tried doing it through DM
any1 got sum ideas?

and also, i used to watch loads of videos via the youtube app, but i accidentally deleted it and after that i try installing it OTA, but it keeps telling me tht my device aint compatible...

Yeah this is an annoying problem but one of our users created a nice workaround. I will find the files that you need to install so that Google Maps works properly on your Storm

I'm thinking about deleting BB maps and using gmaps instead-i don't about the location sending but I'm wondering if gmaps has updated yet to show direction of travel yet or if they plan to implement this if at all possible, does anyone know? Thanks in advance.

I hope you're wrong, no offense how about the geotagging, if I remove BB maps will it pull up my geotagged photos in gmaps or does it require the native mapping app?
