Thread: Problems, just finished installing the new .230

Well I did the DM restore and now I'm glitchy once more..
I haven't done the bbsak third party back up either, some how they all stayed.
Gonna try putting back on factory reset and take it from there...
How is .230 working for you guys? Unstable like mine?

I am again having issues.
I restored my information off DM and I got glitchy.
I didn't bother restoring bbsak because all my third party app saved.
I am going to do a factory restore and see how that works out.
Is anybody else having as many issues as I am?

Sounds like something in your backup doesn't want to play nice.

Hi. Ok so now my e-mails won't work.
I can receive emails but can't reply or send it says that the e-mails aren't set up, but when I go to set it up I can't. I emailed verzion over this, but do you guys have any suggestions? : Thanks, you guys are awesome. Its just a little stressful, I should have waited until after midterm week... ahhh

Battery pull, resend your service books, and do another battery pull.

yea, if you go to your email settings, hit the bb button then service books, then hit send service books. you should get an email and new email folder for every address associated with your pin, as well as allow you to choose your default email account

If I go to set up then go into email settings then hit the bb button I don't get the option to send service books. If I go to setup wizard and then email setup and again do press the bb buton I get no service books.

I went to options=>Advance options=>service book=>bb button no option to send...=>If I click any of the stuff like blackberry internet browswing serivce I still get no option to send serievce books..What did I do wrong? Its running really smooth, charged over night, hasn't lagged or frozen. But I don't have the awesome blak-N-blue theme running, or any contacts, or anything really. I've had no memory leak. I just need the e-mails..

Help...anyone...???

if you are on vzw call them and tell them you need your service books to you.. or whoever your carrier is.

I've loaded .230 on my Storm at least 8 times. I've Wiped the file system with JLCmdr & CrakUtil, done the battery pulls, 3-4 with 60 sec intervals. The phone just keeps rebooting. I'm installing base OS with DocsToGo and BB App Center. Any suggestions?

At what point does it start rebooting... Can you turn on your phone and then at some point after the OS has loaded it starts rebooting? What I'm wondering is if maybe something in your restored data is causing the problem, or a third party app.

Actually I've tried both ways. Naked, no installed 3rd party apps, no personal data loaded and fully loaded. It seems to reboot and or freeze after 2-3 minutes after logging into the Storm. Whether I've used it or not.

I would definitely try downgrading to just make sure there isn't something wrong with the device.

You wiped before loading an older OS correct? I'm thinking if wiping and loading an Official OS does not work, there must be something wrong with the hardware.

yep, sure did. I've wipe and reloaded .148 I liked what I saw of 5.0.0.230, some nice features ... but it's gotta run too. .148 seems to run fine. So as the song goes "where do I go from here?"
