Contacts with birthdates don't show in calendar

So I've noticed that I am having an interesting issue... Maybe someone could shed some light on this for me. Many of my contacts, I have enter their birthdays in their contact info in the address book. The weird thing is that very very few of them actually show up. I entered them into the physical address book on my blackberry over a period of time. The one thing I did notice is that if it was a contact i never used to have a birthday entered for, it would show up, but if it was someone who I had their birthday information entered awhile ago, it doesn't register. Don't really know what to make of this, maybe it's an issue with 5.0.0.230 on the Storm 9530. Maybe just a random glitch, but whatever it is, it is quite annoying... worst case scenario, I guess I can always try re-installing the OS and everything, but that's just a giant pain...

yes over the course of time with wiping and then restoring it seems they stop showing up.. its a pain but go through and delete and reinput the date.. the other thing you can do is put it in the calendar as a yearly appt and it will be there always.

Ugh, that's just such a pain in the a$$... maybe if, when I reformat/wipe my BlackBerry, before I run GoogleSync or anything to reload my Calendar from backup, I can load up the Contacts first and maybe it will fix the error, then log-in and run googlesync so it is synced with my calendar forever and save running into this issue again. We'll see, got my fingers crossed that this may work....... if not, I'm open to suggestions that don't require me to re-enter the data or enter it in as a yearly thing, as that's just a HUGE pain in the rear.

I know it is, I just find it easier to put it in on a google calendar and set it to yearly over in with the contact.. that way if you change or delete a contact you still have the BDAY

Yeah, I just wish that GoogleSync would save the Birthdays for you in your Google Contacts automatically when you sync your contacts.
