Thread: Lost installing 5.0.0.230

Now that facebook is compatible with version .230 I am willing to install it, however, I am unsure of what to do. I checked out the video, but I have been reading post and they talk about shrinking and I am not sure what that is or how to do it. I would like to install 5.0.0.230 along with facebook, app world, gtalk, aim, and bbm, is there anyway anyone can help me? Please e-mail me at e.r.lazcano@vzw.blackberry.net. Thank you.

I wouldn't worry about shrinking. Not right off the bat anyway. As for FB and what have you, they can easily be downloading from the BlackBerry web site after you install the OS.

What I would do is not confuse yourself with shrinking or anything else at the moment. I would just follow the steps in the video step by step which will get .230 installed. From there we can help you get the apps you require onto your phone.

Yeah, RIM released a version of FB that is 5.0 compatible.
