Thread: Setting Level 1 Alerts

I have a user on our BES. When he receives a email from one certain person he wants it to arrive as a level 1 message and make a tone. The LOUD profile works. All other profiles including custom profiles doesnt. I have setup a filter to forward the message as a level 1 notification to him and it comes in to his blackberry as a level 1 notification but makes no tons. I have checked all settings, nothing is muted or low. I have checked all the profile settings and am out of ideas.

he doesnt carry in a holster does he?

He might but we made the in holster the same as out of the holster and we were doing our testing out of the holster

are you going into level one messages under the custom profiles?

We tried a custom profile and a Normal profile, we go in and edit the the profile and click on level one messages and then assign it a specific tone and volume etc and save it. But when the level 1 message gets forwarded it plays nothing but it does show up in red so I know it's coming in as a level 1

What model phone is he using? Is he using carrier specific OS? Is anything blocking it on the BES? Does he have any profile exceptions? Is he using the right profile?

He is using the OS that came on the device, no BES restrictions and we tried all the profiles and LOUD works but none of the other ones, and he does not want to use loud

I'm havin trouble with tour I had 4 now I get now alerts in holster but email no matter what the. Setting I use. Aalso one sprint store emploey tour did not alerts in holster and he did not even know he never used it only works out holster
