Thread: Blackberry Bold 9000 Dead, not at all recognized by Windows

Hey guys,

Okay so I have had the BB 9000 for over 2 years now, It never gave me issues, I used to at first use it for my daily life. But later when i bought a new phone I started testing betas and different Operating Systems on it.

For the past few months, my device would randomly corrupt and start the 4 blinking light sequence. I had no issue with that, until one day My device, after I flashed the BBOS 5 official onto it, took longer to load and suddenly started a continuous reboot. And followed by that the red light blinking sequence, It was 4 am in the morning so I did not flash it again, instead I put it up on charge and went to sleep.

When I woke up I connected the device to the computer and the computer failed to detect the device at all. I searched google and tried every method possible, nothing worked. Thats when I noticed that instead of the 4 red blinks, It had a sequence of 5 blinks, 1 blink pause and then 4 blinks.

I have not been able to find a single article or thread on the internet with people having this issue.

Anyone who knp=ows what the issue might be? :/

I think it might be that u over exerted the processor and got it weak, I had this happen to one of my smart phones while i was doing something similar to it. When i hear problems like this it excites me because it's another problem for us to solve which when we have it solved we have conquered it, fortunately i have one bold 9000 handy i'll work it the way you did and hopefully i'll come up with the same problem and i shall return to this forum with a solution for you, keep watching.

Ill try some hacks myself. and if possible I would try to post a video of my phone to make stuff more clear.

Yes I tried that and all other tutorials related to it too. but its like the blackberry handset does not connect to the computer at all, with or without battery, it displays a red light blink sequence. And the computer does not display any hardware
connected to any COM ports.

i have a 9900, and last night it just when dead on me, wont allow me to charge it etc.......
when i plug it into my computer, nothing happen.....
