(My Mobile app allows remote access from computer to your BB phone.)

I lost remote access to phone, settings or program disconnected somehow from phones end. the icon is unfortunately in hide mode so can not instructed person to reconnect or check settings ( due to the fact there are other hidden apps that will also be concealed if we "show icons" that need to stay private. can we just reinstall the app from app world even though its already on phone, what will happen or is there some way to get it back up and running a different way without revealing all hidden files.

Your "teenage son" can download the app again. The dialogue will come up as "replace existing version" (or something like that). Good luck.
