Help featured apps?
Every day i get orangey yellow led and a thing called featured apps takes over my phone .all the buttons stop working and the only way to get rid of it is to repeatedly press the back button. It doesnt say where its from so i cant block or stop it. Help its driving me nuts!
Whoa! That's very odd! When you go into your Application Management, is there anything installed that shouldn't be? Let's get this thing figured out!!!
 I have worked out it is coming from oswalddesigns an app developer who probaly make very good apps but they keep taking over my phone at 2pm every day trying to get me to download and buy their apps. It is a link to them on bb app world ,it makes led glow amber and once you have pressed the back button enough times it disappears without trace. If i dont find a way to stop/block this annoying bloody unwanted intrusion onto my playbook i will go nuts.

So it's your Playbook and not your phone? There are different solutions for each one. :)
A couple possible solutions.
Email the developer about how their constant daily spam bothers you, and they may release an update to change it.
For device, you may be able to go to Options... Device... Application Management... then highlight app in question and hit bb menu button... select from menu 'Edit Permissions.' From here you may be able to find the permission you granted and deny it so that the ads don't pop up. May take a little playing around. Or you can ask the developer what permission it is so you can block it.
If it's a PlayBook app, you can delete the app and reinstall. When you open the app for the first time it will ask you to grant permissions. Deny the one that is causing the ads.
Good luck. Let us know if it works out for you. :)
I would say that your only way to stop this behavior, is to find out which apps of the vendor you have, delete them, demand your money back if applicable, and leave a negative review on app world. Vendors that come over to BlackBerry from Android and iOS need to understand that Team BlackBerry is willing to pay for quality apps, and are unwilling to use apps that require ridiculous advertising schemes.
Sorry its my phone ,i am typing and sending these messages on my playbook. I have just tried the solution put forward by joe jerde by altering permissions in App managment and i will now wait and see if it works. Thank you guys for taking the time to help ,and an even bigger Thank you for creating and running such a top app. BB OS is the first thing i go to when i use my playbook to stay on top of all blackberry news.
