Hi guys i relay need help with this "black screen of death"

I was using my bbm as usual talking to my friends and pepole bc crap i took my battery out as i did not know how to turn it off properly i know stupid right and i put the battery back in and a red light came on and the screen was just black but the buttons came on now you can recive calls and texts and make them but you can`t see what you are doing you can dial but you cant see nothing, I have tried factory reset os reload wiping the device up dating the device and all of that but still it has not fixed it i dont think it can be a hard wear problem as i only took the battery out . I rang orange and asked them for help they took me throgh the blackberry service thing they told me to do all of that stuff again still it did nothing i have tried the loader in the common file on the pc but it had what is was called it came up with usb- 9810 but i should have done it when it says unknown i have looked and have found a fix but the zzkey cost over £63 and i dont have that. My family will not waste there money on that as i am 15. would anybody have a softwere that could fix this if so could you send me so i could fix my phone please please please reply and message me asap thanks Charlie

Sounds like a hardware problem. Taking your battery out while the phone is on is normal and shouldn't have caused any issues, but you never know what can happen.

The only thing I can think of is if taking the battery out caused some circuits connected to the screen to go bad. Maybe some kind of a power issue. While it's not too common, screens do go out. You may be looking at having to get a new one installed. Good luck.

double check to make sure you do not have any battery issues. If you have not done so already, please try using BBSAK. Let us know if you need help with that.

Thank you so much for you replys if its the screen curcit il send it of to mazuma i only brought it or bbm so i could try it out for a bit and yes ignites i have used bbsak and i did use it to try and fix it. Im looking for a softwere that might fix the black screen other than bbsak because ive used everything it has to offer the wipe tool the other stuff ect. Im looking for a nuke tool because i think my phone may have nuked its self so if there is a nuke tool please send me one the idea is to nuke my phone again then un nuke it because i wiped my phone then reinstalled the softwere and there was no diffrence so im thinking if i nuke my phone and then go in to the loader file in program files-common files-research in motion if i load that as unknown it might fix it charlie

sorry i forgot to mention about the battery i took it to the phone shop in town he said my battery is fine he tried a diffrent battery and there was no diffrence to my screen Charlie

i have a blackscreen on my phone and i tried wiping it and updating it but apparently when it is already nuked you need to use app loader so when i load that application called app loader it notices my mobiles name so the program might think everything with my phone is fine but if i nuke it again it will come under as unknown and might be able to fix the problem so if you have a nuke tool please send me a link to it or something many thanks Blackberryboy

There is no software that will fix a defective screen. Ignites mentioned the tool BBSAK, this program will completely wipe your device.

HI i need a nuke tool if you have any nuke or unnukeing tools please send them me and if il do a video on youtube of me explaining how it will fix it. The problem that other people are having is called the "white" screen of death. Your issue is completly different. The screen has died, no software can fix this problem. If your Torch is still under warrenty, send it back for repair/replacement. If the warrenty has expired, have it repaired at a third party shop.

the screen dies by taking the battery out and you can fix the white screen by using app loader

Sounds like something you need to take to the repair shop, IMHO.

But usually if I wanna nuke something, I throw it in the microwave Lol

BlackBerryBoy, BBSAK IS a nuke tool. I would wager my clutch foot you aren't having a software problem, you are having a hardware problem.

On my reserach nuke is not the same as wipe

Depends. A "Nuke" is the removal of all operating system software. A "wipe" could mean the intentional removal of all operating system software, or just a removal of sensitive info from disk storage. What you are refering to is a "Nuke", and BBSAK does that as well as "wiping". I've repaired several Berrys with the mythical "black screen of death", there is no software fix. If you believe you've found one, please share the info so that those who have the technical experience can determine its authenticity.
