Thread: Problem updating a Blackberry 9360 from OS 7.0 to 7.1

I just bought a Blackberry 9360 from Rogers. I have been trying for 2 days to get it to take the update for OS 7.1. I have it on a $100.00 for 365 day plan. It keeps telling me I need a subscription to do the update to OS 7.1

What am I supposed to do to get this update. I want it because it has the wifi calling feature. This will alleviate me using my minutes so quickly.

Can anybody give me some guidance on this?

The update process requires over an hour. I would suggest doing it via usb cable through BB desktop software. It's much more reliable. First time I tried it failed. Next time connected to my computer and it worked fine. Latest release 523 works good. The update automatically backs up your phone; although I did a complete backup before.

Reminder for anyone using Blackberry Protect: you need to agree to let it track the phones location so you can deactivate the phone if it's lost or stolen.
