BlackBerry Desktop Manager Problem

My family and I have 5 BBs (9780, 9700, 9380, 9360, 9000)

What our problems is when I connect to Desktop Manager (DM) only for 9780 and 9700 the DM shows the OS files, but only 3rd party application for 9380, 9360 and 9000.

I have deleted vendor.xml from folder:
1. C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
2. C:\Users\<user-name>\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

I have tried on DM latest version 6 and version 7, but same thing happens. I also searched my entire disk, but none contains vendor.xml except those 2 mentioned above.

Can anybody advise what should I do?

Hello Grico, welcome to BBOS. :)

Make sure that you only have one OS installed on your computer for each device. Go to control panel... programs... and uninstall any OS that you don't want to update to.

Actually I did not install any OS in my laptop. Neither the current nor new one. All are in handheld itself and pre-installed in the heandheld since purchased. I do not want to upgrade. I just want to uninstalled languages that we do not use.

You could always use BBSAK to get rid of languages, fonts and most anything. But beware of what you delete and always create a backup first just in case!

Also, make sure that you have the latest version of Desktop Manager. Good luck!

BTW, what is BBSAK used for?
Just downloaded and will install and try tonight.

I just tried it. It seems BBSAK is not user friendly. It directly goes to the files. I do not familiar with those files which are for laguanges. Could anybody guide me how to delete language files? Thanks in advance.

When BBSAK recognizes your device it will bring up a list of all that is installed. Just de-select the languages not needed and proceed.

I have been quite busy and away for some times from this forum. Thanks all for the solution. But in fact, I still can not delete languages that I do not use as I really do not know what indivdual files that are language files. I do not want if I delete worng files which will cause my handheld becomes unusable. Please, can somebody inform what files are they? Just give example from the names of the files...
