    HELP - Email account issue

    Hey everyone. Am new here also and this is my first post. I've a problem with my torch 9800 or my hot mail account i dont know really. every time am trying to setup my hotmail account its giving me invailed email address or wrong password although am 100% sure they are right. any help please

    Welcome to eraahmad

    The issue that you're experiencing with your BlackBerry Torch 9800, may not be an incorrect email address, or password, but it is with Microsoft's Hotmail service itself.

    It seems their servers were down for an unknown period, and from what I have just heard, and tested myself, everything is back up and good to go, so try again, and post back here to confirm a successful connection, if possible.

    thanks buddy, but i facing this problem since 7 month ago. i even creat another hotmail account and still the problem is the same. please any further suggestions

    Hi eraahmad, I will try my best to solve your issues.

    When you create an email account, always mark down somewhere the correct login and password info.

    When you attempt to set up this email on your BlackBerry Torch 9800, go to Setup, look for Email Accounts, click on Internet Mail Account.

    Look for Windows Live (Hotmail, MSN, Live)

    Click on Windows Live, you will be offered:
    • @hotmail.com
    • @msn.com
    • @live.com

    Pick whatever domain your email address is, and register that email address, and the correct password (which you can click on to show you the password as you type it in the box, then continue, which the remaining prompts are pretty straightforward.

    Once everything has been said, and done, it may take up to 20 minutes or less, to have the email return as successfully connected to the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS -which can only be obtained by your carrier).

    Having email service on your BlackBerry device requires a (BIS) data plan.

    You cannot have Email service, using Wi-Fi for example.

    Only using either a (pre-paid or post-paid) data plan from your mobile carrier.

    i did before all the stps you mentioned, but same msg. am sure all my id & password is 100% correct. my gmail is working just fine and am using (BIS) data plan. the funny part is one of my friend tried his id on my device and it worked out. thanks for the help buddy.
