    Default bb maps icon missing

I downloaded bb maps and there is no bbmaps icon at all. Tired looking for it and I have no clue where to find it. I have tired googling the problem, I still cannot find my way around this issue

Is your carrier AT&T? If so, I believe they disable BBMaps, trying to force you to use their mapping device.

Look at BB AppWorld's BlackBerry Traffic app. I use it for real time GPS driving directions and it's accurate to within a few feet. Plus it's free.

Also Google maps work better than BBMaps if you just want to look at an area.

Google maps has a street view that flows, and is much more convenient to use than the one in google earth, the one in google earth floods my screen with camera icons, and feels really dodgy when I try to move around.
