To see what OS you have, go to... Options... Device... About Device Versions... and then copy us the 3rd line down.

I suspect that you need to upgrade your device's OS. Once you tell us your OS we can help you to the next step to updating.

Also, you could try deleting App World... reboot... reinstall App World... and then reboot again. That may solve your issue.

To uninstall go to... Options... Device... Applications Management... scroll till you find 'BlackBerry App World' and select it... then select delete. Make sure you reboot before installing again.

Also, wouldn't hurt to backup your apps before doing this.
