Thread: Guys plz answer this is important?

Guys listen .. My blackberry storm mobile is not getting charged i've been charging it for like 3 to 4 hours but its still not switching on!! it does keep blinking(in red) and i know it means "charging" but why is it taking tooo long and why is it not getting switched on????????i have got very less time plz plz help!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Devich,

How long have you had that battery for? Usually this means the battery is losing it's ability to recharge. This is normal, after awhile a battery will lose it's "juice."

I would recommend trying to get a hold of a used battery from a friend or even your cell phone provider may have an extra to put in your phone to test to see if that is the problem.

Your device might be nuked, have you tired connecting it to your pc and see if it recognizes it. First try the battery method, if you still get the blanking light, its nuked and bbos forums has a tutorialon how to recover nuked devices.

It does sound like you have nuked your device. Go to the following link and follow the procedures there. It is an easy tutorial to follow and you should be up and running in an hour or so. Remember though, read the tutorial first, start to finish, make sure you understand everything, then go for it.

My Storm did something very similar, at that time I wasn't knowledgable about these Devices. And I got it exchanged by my carrier for a new one. Since then from various sources that the problem was to do with the OS 'nuking' itself on a certain OS upgrade. So is doe's sound like your Storm is 'nuked'
