Default Upgrading 9700 to os 6 issue

Well i tried to upgrade my 9700 to OS 6.0.0.538. And then I thought I had everything right and when my phone rebooted, everything seemed to be in place except for the graphics. I had no idea what happened, tried it again a few times and still no luck.

Any ideas where I could have gone wrong?

    Thanks!
    Anton

Can you get into a bit more detail please? As in, what about the graphics went whack? Also, remember, it's a leaked OS - so you can't expect everything to work 100%.

Well everything was white, except for the icons, which were tiny and black outlines. When I pressed option, it would flicker and then nothing would happen. There was zero graphics in the home screen. I couldn't see my cursor when going over the icons. I tried clicking on a few and they worked. It was pretty dang weird.

I realize its a leak. I read people were having success with it so I figured why not give it a shot. I already downgraded back but would love to try again and get to work.

    Appreciate the help,
    Anton

Well, try this.. It sounds like it's running into interruption with a previous OS installed. Perform a complete wipe using BBSAK and then install using apploader.. Don't install using Desktop manager as it won't take to leaks very well at all.

I'll stick with yah until we can get this fixed, because 6.0 is that worth it

I have had that same issue before. Your theme did not start during the reboot process. you should be able to just start the theme as you should still be able to navigate with the icons that are showing. Just determine where your theme settings on OS6 are located and activate the theme.

So I tried it again and had the same problem. Once I got into the options part and pressed display and then either screen display or home screen preferences, the screen would flash for a quick second and then return back to the option panel. As if it's trying to open but doesn't. Help!?!? Haha

What steps did you take to install 6 on your beRry? Be very specific, it could help us discover whether something needs to be changed or uninstaslled, or if you need a quick delete of a goofy file. Also you might want to make sure that you have no other os's installed for 9700. it can make a difference.

I got it fixed! All I had to do was go into the directory and delete the T-Mobile Theme files from the COD. Loaded it up and it works perfect. Looks awesome!

    Thanks for the help!

Hi there I have a problem that keeps coming up anytime I install OS 6 whether leak or official on my Blackberry Bold 9700. After installing the OS 6, the phone boots up beautifully and I enter my password then the RIMs INFO black sheet comes up and I cannot scroll down, is like the track pad freezes. Is there anything I can do to resolve or get past this matter so I could enjoy my new OS 6?. Thanking you in advance
