Thread: What is the difference between the blackberry curve/bold and the blackberry pearl?

I am getting a new phone soon and I want a blackberry however my contract is too low to get a blackberry curve, so is the blackberry pearl just as good or what are the differences?

Hello danielcrockp!! Welcome to you will love it here. I guess to start it really depends on which curve/bold devices you are comparing to which pearl devices. But really when it comes down to it, the main differences will be memory and screen size/resolution. Who is your current carrier? Are you planning on staying with them or moving to another carrier? Just curious.

Also the keypads are different. The pearl is the only device the has a physical sure-type keypad. The bold and curve are only offered as a full qwerty keypad. Pearl is also smaller in size, so if you want smaller device the pearl is the way to go.

On top of that plus the BOLD has a faster processor and more app memory!

You can go to the BlackBerry website, click on smartphones and then on the left hand side of the webpage there is an option to compare different models. This may help give you some of the basic and detail info for each phone you are considering in getting.
