    the enterprise activation he is seeing is not for bes, is the gmail wireless sync enabled with BIS 3.0, if he selected to sync his address book when adding that account.

    that will always happens with an os upgrade, to make sure is this go to options, advanced options, default services and you will now see some like

    calendar (cical)
    contacts list(sync)
    messaging

    you can also confirm this by going to your address book then select options, you will now see something that reads:

    Contacts Lists
    xxxxxx@gmail.com

    Thanks for the input. He still hasn't brought the BB over here. Any idea why the gmail folder is blank?

    Good point about the wireless sync. Personally, I never chose that option. I found the problem to be the advanced gmail plugin. I came across another person with the same issue. No emails in the gmail inbox but they all showed up in the regular message box. Removed the plugin and all is well. Thanks for your help guys.

    Good to know about the plug in, guest that is another reason I don't use it

    Yea never had any desire to use it. That's why I had no idea what was goin on.
