Documents To Go brought actual document editing and viewing to the BlackBerry on a larger scale. With OS 4.5 we were finally able to open Word, Excel, & Powerpoint files from our BlackBerrys and download them to our SD cards. The problem was that the first version of Documents To Go did not support Office 2007 files. This was corrected in the latest versions.



Research In Motion supports Documents To Go on BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry Device Software 4.5 and later. Documents To Go allows you to edit Microsoft? Word, Microsoft? PowerPoint?, and Microsoft? Excel? files directly on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Documents To Go allows you to open and modify Microsoft Word files created using any of the following applications:

Microsoft Word 97, 2000, XP, & 2003
Microsoft Word 98, 2001, & 2004 for Mac OS?
Documents To Go version 1.000 Standard Edition is included with BlackBerry Device Software 4.5 and allows you to open and modify Microsoft PowerPoint files created using any of the following applications:

Microsoft PowerPoint 97, 2000, XP, & 2003
Microsoft PowerPoint 98, 2001, & 2004 for Mac OS?

Viewing and editing capabilities
