Thread: Help With Blackberry Maps

Need some help here. I'm trying to put blackberry maps back onto my storm but the Rim website tells me it isn't compatible. Does anyone know of an ota link to do this? Running 5.0.0.428 on the 9530

You should be able to run the AppLoader.exe or run Desktop Manager to update your OS and come to the configuration screen in order to add Blackberry Maps back onto your device.

One question please, you are in the states correct?

No, I'm in Canada. I had bbmaps running before, but foolishly removed it. I've tried the app loader and dm to no avail. Short of reloading the os, I'm at a loss here.

So your saying that BBMaps does not show up in the configuration screen when trying to add/remove applications....Strange.

I wounder if you removed to Operating System from your PC then downloaded a fresh copy so the Desktop Manager thinks that you are installing a different OS with different applications.

May want to give that a try.
Remember to delete the vendor file.
