Theme VS Battery Life

Is there any correlation between the active theme and battery life (not overall life expectancy but daily useage/battery drain)? I've recently ran into an issue of the battery draining rather rapidly, I have been using meter berry to monitor but can't put my finger on it (gave that up thought that the logging couldn't be helping the situation any). I used to b able to go a day n a half, 2 days if needed. Now by the time I get home I'm at 40%?!? I'm on a tour with 5.0 software, I also recently posed a question if OS had sumthin todo wit it? The general cenus seemd to be yes.

Absolutely. Both the OS and themes, along with apps, have an effect on the battery life.
