Default Bolt 1.5 is official and out of BETA

Thanks to the contribution of over two million beta testers, BOLT has gotten rid of their beta tag and proudly presents today's official release of BOLT 1.5

Most of the upgrades are considered "under the hood". BOLT 1.5 is the most reliable and fastest browser out on the market.

New Features:
* Server upgrades (make v1.5 more than 15% faster than Beta3)
* Cache support that enables directly browsing back to a previously visited page
* Download manager that downloads files directly within BOLT on JSR 75 capable devices
* Dedicated search bar, enabling search on popular search engines directly from BOLT
* Enhanced column width control that auto-aligns the text to columns for ease of reading
* Enhanced video support that includes inline media playing capability even on low-end devices
* Enhanced copy-paste support for BlackBerry devices
* Support for streaming videos of any length
* Volume UP/DOWN controls in the inline media player
* Ability to rearrange the subscribed feeds using the 'grab' feature
* Access to History links from the URL window with inline editing OFF
* One click access on Home Page that ensures the cursor jumps to the desired widget

Their site will be updated shortly to download the official 1.5

yes it does, but it is an email that I had just received seconds ago, there is a disclaimer for this at the bottom of the page.

I also got the email about the 1.5 update, but when I launched Bolt I didn't get prompted to upgrade like the email stated.

I will be interested to find out if this official release is any better than the versions I have used in the past. I found Bolt to be about as slow as skyfire and not very friendly navigation

Version 1.4 was pretty slow, not as bad as skyfire but still pretty darn annoying

I found Bolt to be worse than Skyfire. Maybe it was just cause I have an older device. But none the less I didn't like it.

Thanks JL. Is there a way to get the beta version or is it just really locked down to the beta testers?

At this point it is locked down like fort knox. But having used it, it truly is on the verge of pathetic. You really are not missing anything.

I just received a message from their support team stating the website has been updated (have not noticed) and the server is up and running. So we will see when the true bolt v1.5 is up and ready. You can check out there release at BOLT Browser Forums - Powered by vBulletin

The letter did not message anything about the download page. You are suppose to upgrade wirlessly when you open bolt. I just tried and there was no upgrade as of yet.

What version of Opera r u using? I tried the new v5 Beta w/ .238h and it wouldn't work for me, deleted it. Tried Bolt 1.5, seems to b glitchy for me, don't know if it's cause bolt not playing nice with .238h.
