New App: Berry Wars | Dope Wars and Drug Wars for the Blackberry Storm!

Here is a throwback to the TI-83 calculator days: Berry Wars! Based on games like Dope Wars and Drug Wars, Berry Wars pits you as a drug dealer in New York. You start out with a small amount of money, and 30, 60, or 90 days to prove yourself in the business.

The premise is very simple: buy low and sell high. Every day, you can visit one location and trade drugs with the locals. The prices change daily, so searching out a deal takes a bit of experience.

New York is not a safe place for a drug dealer, so you have to buy guns to protect yourself, and armor like coats to protect yourself, as well as hold more drugs. When you enter new locations, the locals might try to pick fights. You have to choose to fight back and risk damage, bribe them most of your money to get them to leave, or to try to run away. But if you get caught running, you usually catch quite a beating.

Getting money is shady, and you can visit the Loan Shark once a day only. When you apply for a loan and you are offered whatever amount he pleases, take it or leave it! Each loan comes with daily interest, and when your debts get too high, you need to watch out for the goons he sends.

If you manage to survive all 30, 60, or 90 days, you can post your high score.

Don't have time to finish your game? Just click the back button on the location screen and your game will be saved! Just press Resume Game when you come back, and you can continue on the next day.

Tons and tons of replay value -- based on our algorithms, no game EVERY plays the same. You can always strive to hit an ever higher score. Over time updates will come out to tweak the game, but current high scores will always stand!
Great graphics -- this app is loaded with colorful graphics to help with gameplay. The screens look great on the Storms screen and is just one reason why Berry Wars is a STORM EXCLUSIVE APP.

Have you thought bout maybe making like L.A. to go along with N.Y. and such? that would be a cool idea

Haha played that game on my old graphing calculator in junior high! I plagued everyone with the game.. Got in a bit of trouble for programming everyones calculator hahaha

I was just actually thinking of offering a premium version that is customized just for you! Imagine sending in images and names for the cities and images and names for the attackers as well as having your name on the home screen and hard coded for high scores!

What do you guys think?

Having not played this game in the early days or version on calc. I can see this taking off as it could go the way of a SIMM type game where you can also grow your territory or empire to other cities or contact out of state or country suppliers where you would have to be very careful not to get involved with undercover DEA/Other drug enforcment angencies. If you go beyond your initial city you may have to "Partner" with others to grow your territory which would have it's own good or bad consequences. Hmm Miami Vice cigar boat action?????

The downside would be that this would now take over our Storms and where those who are already at 23/7 now would go 24/7 in a snap. Hmm not much time for eating, famliy, or other...

I remember this game from the calculator. I actually had a version of it on my treo when I had that. It was the only good part of the treo. I got this before you did the update, it is definately better after the update. I knew that the game was missing something and didn't realize what it was until I did the update.
