Default Back-up a single app

So the other day I backed up my apps using DM and now I have this folder named after my pin. Inside is (mypin).alx, + all my apps are listed.

Now I want to remove Storm Slider from my phone but save it on the computer (so I can give pattern lock a whirl - does everyone here like this app?)

What I was curious about is what is the best way to save a single app - so I don't have to pay for it again if I decide to switch back.

The next time I upgrade the OS I will want to make a new backup folder so Pattern Lock is included, and in case I have other new apps (does that make sense?).

Thanks dudes!

I don't think it is possible. Though you can create a copy of the ALX file and simply edit it in notepad so that only that one application is in the ALX. It's fairly easily. Just look for <application> and </application. Remove all the other apps in the ALX except for the one you want.

What about this:

If I just rename the alx file and then make my new backup later, I can still browse to the old alx file and grab storm slider out of it by itself using app loader in DM? And then still use the new alx file to get my new stuff whenever???

As long as you keep a copy on your PC, you will be able to Browse for the folder while in Apploader Configuration....
Hope this helps..

Yes. I just wasn't sure exactly how the app loader works (if it pulls the list from the phone or what).

That makes sense though - so you can just pull one file out of the one old alx file and keep the other stuff on the phone, right?

Thanks for the feedback guys!
