Ditto. It sounds like you were downloaded the JAD file to your computer and tried installing that with DM. It is not possible to install JAD files from desktop manager. JAD files are mainly for installing Over The Air from your BlackBerry browser.

Yeah sammykins,
Welcome to the Forum.
Let's clarify.
If you are on a PC simply copy the OTA link and paste it into an email and send it to your device. Once your device receives the email, then you can select the link and it should perform the OTA download.

With all the buzz about BBM, I of course had to try it.
I guess I'm not the BBM kind of guy, so deleted it. I have enough lights flashing on my BB, another one I don't need.

Too bad it didn't work for you... I do believe RIM is moving in the right direction.

Here is something weird I started noticing just last night. BBM 5.0 ran like a champ first day. Since last night at around 3am I could receive messages great. But when I send or reply they either take a real long time for the person I sent to to get it, or it doesn't send at all. I do get the check mark showing it was sent successfully but it was never received. Anybody else notice same issue?

Mine has been working great so far....Let's see if others have same issue. There was a short BIS outage, don't know if it has anything to do with that.

My BBM....(sounded like a Paris Hilton pitch for a second), has worked like a champ.
I agree Olta...It's very much a sign of things to come. To think, this version of BBM 5.0 is just a beta.
What more could RIM put into this app?

Do you have to chop and save the pics your sending to your BBM contacts?
