Can anyone tell me how to revert back to the original BBM that came with 4.7.1 on my Tour? My 5.0 bbm is quite buggy and many of my messages aren't getting out.
Unfortunately I don't think I had done a backup yet before I put bbm 5.0 on. Any hope?

Chad
Did you load OTA or zip?

Did you copy it into OS, or just did DM and selected .alx?

Hello all...I just got some news concerning the issues we have been experiencing with the BBM 5.0 app.

The names have been removed to protect the innocent...

**Source undisclosed**
Hey everyone just to let you all know that I was told by my source, that networks seems to be overloaded, too many bbmers is the reason. They are estimating that millions, yes millions, at least 2 to 3 million gotten the new bbm and everyone is using it, I think that number is higher but who really knows, so be aware of that and don't panic for the delays, within a few days maybe things will be OK.

On top of that, there are many others surfing the net via blackberry devices straining the servers even more.

So be aware

Thanks for the info. I went back to BBM 4 so that's one less person using the leaked version.

I normally agree but in this instance I am going to give RIM the benefit of the doubt. They did not intend for BBM 5.0 to go live yet and could not have planned for this sudden influx of users.

Well said P3, this was a leak and was not intended for release yet. Can't blame RIM for that.

Unless you saved your old BBM cod and alx then you would have to reload the OS on your pc choose the repair option then delete BBM off your phone and plug in. App loader will then install the old BBM

Make sure to back up though cause this will wipe your BBM contacts

Will I be able to retain my BBM contacts with a backup going back to BBM4? I have a lot of contacts and I just went through the arduous process of getting them all reconnected to my new phone.
