Default Need Some help!?

Well im new to downloading leaked OS's. I just tried to do it for the 1st time, and folowed this tutorial: All In One Guide - How To Upgrade Your Device - with Pictures & Videos

Everythign worked up until i was on step 4 uploading the new OS, and I was in the install wizard but it said I had nothing to install? I know I downloaded something from another link from this site, but I have no idea what I'm suppose to do now.

Can anyone help me?

If you need more information just ask.

Well I gg to football workouts soon and I don't really have time to play around with this. Is there a fast way I can just get my phone back to the way it was? And I'll try this later tonight.

if you didnt wipe your phone with bbsak or jlcommander then you would just need to do a restore from desktop manager otherwise you need to load another os on your phone you know works till we could figure out why it is not reading that there is an upgrade available

If you need more information just ask.

When you downloaded the .230 device software installation package (assuming this is what you mean when you say you downloaded something from another link on this site) did you run it and install it to your computer ??

If you didn't install the .230 device software on your computer (be sure only just the .230 device software alone is installed no older OS device software) the Application Loader Wizard will not be able to find anything to install to your BlackBerry being that there is nothing to load onto your blackberry if you didn't install the .230 device software onto your computer for the Application Loader to recognize and then load onto your phone. That sounds like what the issue is if you get to the point where your opening the Application Loader Wizard and it says it can't find anything to install.

If you have more than just the .230 device software installed on your computer this can cause issues also....if you have installed any other blackberry device software on your machine in the past uninstall it so ONLY the .230 device software is listed in your computers control panel add/remove programs list.

Once you install the .230 device software the Application Loader Wizard should find it no problem and load it to your Storm then proceed with the remainder of the directions in the tutorial you referenced in your post.

Also be certain that you have Desktop Manager 5.0 installed, nothing lower...

The only time you need to install .191 first is if you are installing just the java files. I would look for the complete .230 exe file. if you are running vista is is possible you might have to right-click on apploader and run as administrator.

You may also want to search your computer for other places where vendor.xml may have copied itself. Some people end up with the vendor file in more than one place.

Didn't find any others sunkast.
Blade, this is the 1st time I've ever done the leaked OS thing so I've never downloaded an older OS version.

Is there any way for me to check my computer to see if I even downloaded the right thing?

I always need to use the "load OS" button on BBSAK to be able to install new leaked OS's, try that! Also make sure you have the base OS on your computer and instal the .230 exe over that! Then load with BBSAK!

If did a backup with your dm, all you have to do is a restore. Now if you didn't do a backup this time, but you have an old one floating around... You could get your contacts back from that one. My DM is set to do a backup every 7 days, so I always have a semi-current one on my computer!
