Mine keeps rebooting. Won't even get to the home screen....UNLESS it's plugged in to charge or via USB..then it works fine..also viigo won't open..
Any suggestions as to why it works fine when its charging but not when I unplug it?!? Seems really strange

I Have installed OS 5.0.0.314 and I can tell you all, this is the perfect one!
No errors, display much better then other 5.0.0.xxx, lighter and fast, safe battery, gmail app working now...
So far that what I can tell, anyway I don't get any reboot problem here

For those having problems with ramdom reboots try this fix, back up you media card, then on the phone go to options memory, and format media card, issue solved...

I've had no problems with any releases leading up to, and including 5.0.0.314 on my bold.
I always follow these steps:
- Disable internet connection
- Install new berry OS
- Make a backup copy of the original OS (not absolutely necessary, I'm just crazy like this)
- Open Shrink-A-OS, remove all the stuff I never use.
- Open BBSAK, backup my 3rd party apps
- Open DM and backup my berry device data
- Open BBSAK again, and click "Wipe Device", wait for your berry to load up with "Load new Software" (I think this is error 507)
- run `loader.exe /nojvm' (C:\progra~1\common files\research in motion\apploader\)
- once OS is installed, restore 3rd party apps via BBSAK
- battery pull (once)
- restore all data from DM
- battery pull (twice)
- re-enable internet connection
Doing this, I've never had a problem with any OS (other than true bugs, quirks)

Go into options>themes then click on your active theme and go to the last option theme defaults and choose to only reset just your theme default wallpaper. Once it resets to default then set your custom wallpaper and it should work. But if u reboot or battery pull it will screw up again and then you have to follow those steps again.

I experienced no random reboots with about 18 hours uptime. I unfortunately had to downgrade cause my contacts in my SIM card would not fully load (ex. I have 250 contacts and about 50 appear). And when I try to painstakingly add the rest back, I see the same number appear twice even if it does not show in my Contacts. And randomly it appears I have no contacts on my SIM card, then minutes later I check again and some re-appear magically. I tested this on my old 8820 and of course all my contacts are on my SIM card.
The 3G signal holds the best out of all the OS's I've experimented with and rarely drops to EDGE or edge. On the other hand, the browser sometimes stalls and data isn't being transmitted (no arrow movement even with full 3G bars).

elementx: I like your method of updating/restoring your BB. It took a bit longer -- the first time -- but I think it'll be faster the next time.
Thanks.

Mine was doing ok for about 12 hours... I did a complete wipe before i installed the .314.... after 12 hours of uptime, memory use was really heavy... after a couple hours my flash memory fell below 10 mb...
Surprisingly even with the low memory, the phone's still very responsive. I did a restart when the flash memory fell below 1 mb... then after the reboot... i was chatting on BBM, all of a sudden the phone rebooted itself....
I just did another wipe on my phone and installed the .314 again, hopefully the problem won't stay. Now I have to redownload that freakin BBM5.0.0.33 OTA then restore my BB backup file.

I rewiped my bold, and it still did the random reboot, looks like I'm switching back to the 4.6.0.303 for now.... the official OS 5 is just around the corner anyway... I'll just stay on OS 4.6 until the official one is released..

For those who see their BB rebooting all the time, try reformatting your memory card.
