Upgrade fails w/o activation One thing that seems to be never mentioned on any sites that try to handle installing this -or other- leaked OS is that it requires to have the bb activated before uploading the new 7.1.x OS, while normal 7.0.x OS updating procedure does not. Also it requires to have the blackberry ID active. This might come up usually when you try to update a brand new device and the updater will write out sg like "Upgrade can not be processed - this high qualitiy upgrade is only available for user with active blackberry ID".. while you will have no such message when you do a simple update of the original 7.0.x OS of the bb curve 93x0 cheers jf |
