Thread: DM and Win7

...don't seem to be playing nicely together. At least for me.

At times DM is unresponsive and has to be closed with Task Manager. Other times it just won't recognize the device until I reboot. I didn't have this problem on Vista (ughhhh I can't believe I just said that :no: )

Anyone else going through this?

I've heard the exact same thing. I was going to upgrade myself, but had heard of the difficulties with DM. Good luck to you T....I hope everything work out for you.

Not having any issues with DM 5 on Win7 Ultimate RC.

Download the 5.0 Service Pack 1.... if you haven't already:

I run Windows 7 and haven't had any issues with DM 5.0....even before I installed the new service pack.

I have used the Win 7 Beta, RC, and now the Retail Ultimate version with DM 4.6, and have not had any issues...

Download and install JRE from Sun Micro Systems. Seems some files may be missing from the system. I had the same issues. Doing this will also solve the issue you may have with BBSAK connection issues too . Here are the steps I took to resolve.

Uninstall BlackBerry DM and delete all RIM folders
DL and install JRE
Download and install BlackBerry usb and modemm drivers
Download and install most current BlackBerry DM

Reboot and you should be good to go.

I have a signature edition of win7 ultimate and have had no issues. I've been using it since the beta and never noticed anything. I would recommend that you install a fresh copy of win7 then install DM. Have you tried the SP1 for DM to see if that helps?
