Thread: Desktop Manager problem

When I go to use DM to load new apps, whatever they might be, I have noticed that the manager is wanting to reinstall the following: Blackberry 4.7 system software and Blackberry 4.7 core applications.

I have done no modifications to the OS, it is still the original form out of the box.

I have uninstalled DM per instructions found elsewhere, including the registry, rebooted computer and reinstalled software. Still happens.

Any suggestion on how I can avoid this happening? The check boxes for those options are greyed out, and can not be "unchecked."

Welcome to BBOS!!! What you need to do is uninstall DM, reboot PC, and then reinstall, BUT when reinstalling, uncheck the box that says Automatic update. Also, make sure and check the add/remove programs in Control panel that you don't have any OS/Hybrids installed on your PC.
