Thread: Back up contacts

I have an 8900 running on a BES server that has 280 contacts that do not sync with BES. If I go to Contacts, Options I see two Contact Lists both called 'Desktop'. One has Wireless Sync as Yes and the other No. I can't set the second contact list to sync.

I would like to find a way to not loose these contacts as I want to upgrade to version 5 of the OS which forces you to wipe the handset before you are able to reconnect with the BES server again.

I have tried to sync using DM but DM tells me that the phone is set for wireless sync. If there is a way to force a sync using DM so that I can get the contacts into Outlook then I am sorted.

Any ideas please?

Has your system administrator provided you with an enterprise activation password? if so,you can set up email using this option by selecting 'I want to use a work email account with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server' in the email setup wizard on your smartphone. If you do not have an enterprise activation password, contact your system administrator.
