Desktop Manager 6.0 Hits BlackBerry Beta Zone Today!!!

Last night we leaked a new version of BlackBerry Destop Manager, and now it is being trumped by RIM themselves. Just moments ago, RIM posted a new blog story on their site, Inside BlackBerry. It was all about the new 6.0 Desktop Manager. They have announced that The BlackBerry Beta Zone members will be receive new emails shortly, showing a new beta up for test. Yes that's right! Last night we leaked a new 5.0 and today I announce that Beta Zone tester will be receiving 6.0, man what a quick leap.

Head over to your Beta Zone and make sure that your download is not already available. If you do not have a Beta Zone account, I STRONGLY suggest getting one today. Over the last few weeks we have heard amazing Beta Zone news, why would you not want to be a part of it???

For now, make sure to click on the link below and see a few screen shots that RIM has provided us with, and let us know what you think about them.

I already got my copy downloaded and installed!! It takes some getting use too. But the layout and overall user experience is awesome.

I've been running this in Beta with my Tour 9630 (personal) without issue. Now that it's released I was going to use it with my Bold 9700 (corporate) but I saw a warning about using this if on a corporate BES but the link to the KB article was broken. Does anyone know of these potential issues between BDM 6.0 and BES? I manage the BES environment so could petentially alleviate any issues once I gain definition of said issues.

Disregard -- I found what I was looking for.
"Prior to upgrading to Desktop Software 6.0 you may wish to consult your IT administrator to see if you will be affected by these changes. If these features are required please see the workarounds located within KB23666 for Certificate Synchronization support and KB23761 for Encrypted Media card transfer support."
The majority of corporate users probably won't be affected by this.

Loving it.
Had the leaked version earlier, but this runs alot smoother.
Love the way you can choose what you want to transfer, looks smoother and is easier to use.
Big upgrade.

I agree! The version in beta zone was horribly slow in backup and restore process. This version is so much better and all around is a better experience.

Yup, I gotta agree with Hodges. The leaked version was craaaazy slow. It took mad long to load up compared to the official release. I love the look of this... Now release OS 6 for us Storm 2 users dammit :P
