The picture seen above is taken from a YouTube video of Cain sharing some first-hand accounts of racial discrimination as he describes the experience of sitting behind the white/black demarcation on buses. He also talks about the experience of taking turns with his brother, standing watch as each took a drink from the "white" side of a segregated water fountain in a department store. Cain also explains that he does not embrace the concept of the "African-American." He says, "When people try to label me, I very quickly point out that I am an American first, black second, and I'm a conservative. So, I'm an ABC."
