Even though both Dev Alpha devices do not have the final hardware in terms of what we'll see with the launch of BlackBerry 10 in 2013, we've all been curious as to what exactly is under the hood of these two devices specs wise. While specs are ridiculously important as to how the actual hardware interacts with the OS, it's always nice to compare for some interesting conversation.
The Inside BlackBerry Blog answered those questions today with a new post dedicated specifically to answering our hardware questions.
Those of us that were wondering why the B felt faster than the A when on BB10's Beta 3 software, now can clearly see why. It is faster. The processor on the Dev Alpha B is an OMAP 4470 vs the A's 4460 processor.
Other noticeable and obvious differences are the lack of removable battery and cover from the A vs the B, and interestingly enough, the fact that the A has a higher MP front facing camera than the B (3mp vs 2mp).
As stated before, these hardware specs will probably change a bit when we get a chance to teardown the first BlackBerry 10 device so make sure you keep that in mind.
