  • Twitter for BlackBerry 2.0 now available in App World

Beta phase is now over for the official Twitter BlackBerry client, and within the next 24 hours, and Twitter update v2.0 will be available to download for all users in App World. The update to 2.0 mostly revolves around an UI improvements, with a few functional additions as well:

    • Less room being taken up at the top of the screen.
    • The search bar is now more streamlined for ability to check for hashtags, usernames, real names, or tweets nearby containing that text.
    • Direct messages are now shown in a threaded view, so you can follow the back-and-forth a little more naturally.
    • Twitter icon slightly changed.

I’ve noticed in my time with the beta version that performance is much smoother now with this official update. How does the Twitter update work for you?
