UPDATE: As if they were waiting for me to post this tip, SoundHound released a BlackBerry 10 app that uses the same service just a few days after this was posted.
As BlackBerry 10 continues to close the "app gap" we take a look at an app that we've been teased with but it stubbornly refuses to appear: Shazam.
For those unaware, Shazam is an app that lets you discover music by recording what you hear and then finding out for you what the song actually is.
To get around this, we're going to use a service called Midomi.
The first thing that you need to do is open this link
on your BlackBerry 10 handset. Once it has been loaded, add it as a bookmark or a shortcut on your homescreen. While you're here, you also need to enabled Adobe Flash in the browser settings.
Once you're ready, you tap the Click and Sing or Hum
button. Record as much of the music you're listening to as you can, and tap the button to finish.
Here's a video to show you all how it works. Be aware though - there is some questionable singing in the video. Those of a nervous disposition should avoid listening!
